                    Group Exercise Class Descriptions
 
 

Group exercise is a great way to spice up your routine, find encouragement and learn new moves for your individual workout times.  Although we have some intro and 101 format classes, all classes are open to beginners. And for those of you who are more advanced, don’t let “101” keep you away.  You know how to push yourself, so go for it.  Let your instructor know you are new to a class, or about any injuries or mobility issues-- take it at your own pace AND HAVE FUN!!! 

Cardio’n Strength or Cardio/Core/More
 

These dynamic classes incorporate muscle conditioning while elevating & maintaining your heart rate to conditioning levels. This is an excellent combination class to firm and burn calories. 

Fit in 30

Faster than a speeding bullet…our instructor offers a super toning class for a full body workout for those on the go. Twenty five minutes of fast blasting moves.

Fitness Yoga

Connect Asanas (postures) along with focusing on your breath to rejuvenate and revive your body. The Bhandas (energy locks) are used to increase core energy and strengthen the body.

Kick boxing

This is a heart pumping class using kicking, punching, interval sets, while incorporating balance and strength.  Feel the core strengthen and your self confidence boost in this fun, dynamic class.

 

 

Pilates & Pilates ‘n Tone, Pilates 101

Pilates develops core abdominal and back strength by working from the inside out, while focusing on flexibility, endurance, and posture, without building bulk or stressing joints.  We recommend 101 for first timers on Monday evening.

Step or Step ‘n Sculpt

Have fun on the step by challenging your mind and your body. Learn fun routines, improve your cardiovascular fitness, and increase your strength - all in the same class. Step routines may be augmented with focused sculpting exercises for a total body workout.

 Strength Training/Lower Body/Upper Body/Core

 All of these strength classes focus on muscle conditioning, which is an excellent way to work your muscles, increase metabolism, posture and prowess!  If you are uncomfortable doing weights away from the marvelous HUR circuit try one of these where instructors will help you learn to push yourself while instructing proper form and technique with strength moves. 

 Sunrise and Wellness Yoga

 Experience yoga during the “ambrosial hours” of the early morning in sunrise yoga- many yogis consider this to be the sweetest time to practice.   Wellness Yoga is an oasis for folks with chronic back problems or other past injury.  The sequence of the class is designed to gently lengthen and strengthen your spine, increase core stability, and increase flexibility in your back, hips and legs.

Zumba

A great heart pumping workout! A fusion of Latin dance and dynamic moves gets you burning calories and having fun at the same time! Forget the workout....Join the party!
